To all our friends and family/Family that came out to Bar 4 last night:
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. The Hella Fabulous/Family Records showcase was one of the nicest nights of music I’ve had the privilege to enjoy in a long time, and that’s saying something. Every single performer brought a great deal passion, energy, and humor to the stage, Niko worked the sound booth like a champ, and our old and new friends in the audience couldn’t have been any more engaged and encouraging. The positive energy in the room was tangible. It was also a rare treat to hear so many of our artists perform in one night, all in the same fantastic little room: Pearl and the Beard, Jeff Jacobson, Matt Singer, and Wakey!Wakey!. Quite the line-up.
Not to make too much of a Hallmark moment of this, but nights like last night serve to remind me how very, very lucky I am to live where I do and to be part of something so special.
