Casey Shea just finished up his monthlong Saturday residency at Rockwood Music Hall and is segueing right into a Friday night residency for the next two weeks. Come and watch the band get more and more rocking in preparation of recording one of their two new albums of 2010. The working title for this September release is “Utter Domination Vol. 1″, but we’re still focus-grouping that one.
March will bring us the pre-cursor album “Love Is Here To Stay”.

In the second episode of the Family Records Podcast, host Denise Gideon speaks with Mike Grubbs, lead singer of the band Wakey!Wakey!, as he talks about the release of the band’s first-ever LP “Almost Everything I Wish I’d Said the Last Time I Saw You…” Mike also talks to Denise about the process of making the album, the creative process and how his role as “Grubbs” on One Tree Hill is helping with exposure for the new album. Did you watch Apple’s unveiling of their new AMAZING product the iPad? Did you salivate and wish you had one already? We sure did. You can probably guess how excited we were when Apple gave our manager Wes a call a few days ago asking if they could use our song “Almost Everything…” for thee iPad “how-to” video on their website. We’ve been long-time Apple users and are thrilled to be involved in a small way in the launch of this amazing product. And just in case you’re wondering, no we don’t have one yet haha.
