Pearl and the Beard will be headlining Music Hall of Williamsburg on February 16th! This show will be celebrating the release of their latest extended single and video from Killing the Darlings, “Prodigal Daughter.” North Highlands will be opening, and Lacrymosa will kick off the evening – neither are to be missed, so get there early!

The band also has single release shows coming up in Philly (2/23 at Kung Fu Necktie) and Washington, DC (2/24 at Rock N Roll Hotel)!

If you’re wondering what “extended single” means, here’s the deal: the single and video are for “Prodigal Daughter,” and the package will include three bonus tracks, a special brand new solo track by each of band member. We’re very excited to share these with you!

The Lament of Coronado Brown

Big news! One of Family Records’ favorite media outlets, NPR, has debuted Pearl and the Beard’s brand new music video! The song is “The Lament of Coronado Brown” from their latest album, Killing the Darlings. All Music Considered is featuring a wonderful review and interview with guitarist/vocalist Jeremy Styles and director Micah Van Hoeve.

Inspired by our most loyal, supportive, and lovely fans and friends, we’ve started the Secret Customer Delight Program, which you can learn all about here. We are blown away by the level of support and encouragement we receive from fans and friends of the Family, and this new program marks the beginning of a brand new way to show you our gratitude.

Folks who spend time in our store, get music and merch from multiple bands on the Family Records do not go unnoticed by us. Once a month, we will pick two people to send swag, music, and a note directly from our office. Read all about our first recipient and learn what to expect for being awesome.

We wanted to set up something a little extra special this time around for all you Nottingham Wakey!Wakey! fans to celebrate their first ever Nottingham show.

On June 15th before their show at the Rescue Rooms, you are invited to attend sound check with the band and attend a meet & greet after wards, leaving with a shiny signed limited edition tour poster in your hands.

This will be limited to 20 tickets to keep it special and intimate, so grab them while you can and get a first look behind the scenes at sound check.

Our very own Lacrymosa will be playing The Deli Mag’s NYC Best of Emerging Artists Festival (B.E.A.F.) on May 24th at the Knitting Factory in Brooklyn! She will be dominating on the Folk Stage along with Bird Call, Daniel Wayne, Turner Cody and more. Tuesday is the first day of B.E.A.F., and Deli Magazine will be holding events through Saturday.

Lacrymosa goes on stage Tuesday night at 8:30pm. Tickets are $8 in advance, or $12 at the door, and the show is 18+. Tickets for the show can be purchased here. For more on B.E.A.F., check out the official website.
