Already ordered my copy and I am so psyched for it to arrive. Can´t imagine how my life would be without good music and the snippets I heard were amazing. The year 2010 couldn´t start with a better discovery of awesome music.

Denise – Thanks so much for doing this interview and for giving us a chance to get to know more about Mike, Wakey!Wakey!, and the creative process that goes into putting together an album.
Mike – I first heard “Twenty-Two” on Spinner and had it on repeat all day long. It’s a great song, I especially love the whistling that’s featured in it. I’ve become addicted to your music and through my constant listening, you have acquired quite a few new fans, including my mom who doesn’t watch OTH, but I sent her the songs I downloaded and she is loving them! I can’t wait for the album to drop. I’ll be one of the first to buy it!
Have to give a shout out to your great work on One Tree Hill. Grubbs is a great addition to the show and I hope that we’ll be seeing more of him in the future.
Good luck with everyhting!!

Wakey! Wakey! is phenomenal. I love ‘Brooklyn’, songs like that and people like this, renew my faith in the utopia of music. So I’m here to comment on how awesome I think Mike Grubbs is, and how much I enjoy his music.

I’m so excited for the new album! Wakey!Wakey! is one of my favorite bands now. I can’t stop listening to Brooklyn or twenty-two.

Wakey! Wakey! is one of my favorite bands ever. It sucks that here in Portugal nobody knows them but I showed it to some of my friends and know it’s becoming their favorite band too. So many amazing songs! Mike’s voice is just awesome, the lyrics are amazingly meaningful and I just- I love it! I downloaded some of their live albums from the Family Records website and I was just amazed. My life would never be the same again. And Mike seems like one of the awesomest guys ever. He is so talented and humbled and I love that he does it for the music and he sends this amazing message!

Is it too late to enter the contest for the free cd? Thats fine if it is… just wondering since you haven’t posted a winner yet. Okay thanks!

I’ve already bought my copy of the album, but I’d just like to say: If you’re going to do a giveaway such as this, you should follow up, even at least with a ’sorry, it didn’t work out’ or something. It’s disappointing for those who were hopeful and comes off unprofessional if you do not hold up your end of the ‘bargain’.

The note below was also emailed to Reno:
Hi Reno,
Sorry to hear you missed the announcement of the winners. Winners will be announced February 5 and we tweeted it out on several accounts. The winners were notified and sent a copy of the record. Typically the way it works is that if you didn’t hear on the day it was announced, you didn’t win. However, I think you make a good point. We could’ve also let the people that didn’t win know that they didn’t. My apologies for making you feel we didn’t keep our end of the bargain. We take pride in being the best music company in the world when it comes to customer service and making listeners and fans feel appreciated. In this case we could’ve done a better job and I apologize. I’d also like to pass a mixtape of other Family artist as a free download for you. It’s waiting for you in your inbox.
We really appreciate your support. Without it we couldn’t keep putting this beautiful music out there to share with the world.
Have a great day and let me know if there is anything else I can do to help make this a better situation for you.
Best,
Wesley

No problem! Thank-you very much for clearing this up for me, I (obviously ^^;) didn’t realize about the tweets. I am a fan of you guys, and I was a little disappointed when I thought something hadn’t been followed through with, but now I feel much better knowing it was just my fault, haha. Anyhow, thanks again for clarifying!
