facebookOur very own Pearl and the Beard have established themselves as a rambunctious presence in the NYC scene, with a rapidly growing and highly dedicated audience. They’re now set to conquer new territories with the national release of their debut album “God Bless Your Weary Soul, Amanda Richardson” (10/27), a 15 Day East Coast Tour starting at NYC’s Joe’s Pub, a live appearance on WNYC’s prestigious Soundcheck, a cheeky new video for their Will Smith Cover Medley and an AOL Spinner New Releases feature.
Family Records teamed up with the amazing Brooklyn-based collective Goddamn Cobras to turn the Will Smith Medley concert staple and crowd favorite into an amazing video. It mashes 8 Will Smiths songs together in Pearl and the Beard’s signature melodic folk pop ways, with an added dash of jolly winks not typically found in their original material. A warm day in Williamsburg, 6 different locations, 5 hours of shooting, and lots of happy passers-by. This is easily the most beautiful and exciting video we’ve ever had for a Family artist and we’re proud to present it below. The Cobras are not only wonderful in that video making way, they’re also wonderful folks. We owe all this beauty to them!
